The national depository of Mexico, Indeval, in conjunction with the American Central Securities Depositories Association (ACSDA), hosted the 13th World Forum of CSDs Conference (WFC2015) from 19 to 22 May 2015 in Cancun, Mexico.
The biennial conference was preceded by a number of industry-associated meetings, of which Strate is a member, namely:
- WFC Board Meeting;
- Liquidity Alliance (LA) Meeting;
- Africa and Middle East Depository Association (AMEDA) Meeting; and
- Americas Central Securities Depository Association (ACSDA) Annual General Meeting.
WFC2015 included over ten panel discussions and three keynote addresses. Strate was represented at the conference by Monica Singer and Tanya Knowles. Monica chaired the AMEDA meeting as vice-president and gave two presentation at the WFC2015 conference on Collateral Management and CSD Innovation. Tanya Knowles presented on CSD Collaboration as the Secretariat of the WFC. Full details of the event including all presentations can be found at www.wfc-2015.net
Strate, as the WFC Secretariat, would like to thank Indeval and ACSDA for organising the event. It would also like to congratulate and welcome the new Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the WFC, Mr Jorge Jaramillo and Mr Eddie Astanin respectively. We also bid farewell to Mr Mohamed, whose tenure as Vice-Chairman has come to an end.
